The trailhead parking is right after Saco Lake on Rt 302. It's free. The trail begins across 302. Elephant Head and Bugle Cliff are short fun stops on the way up. The above picture is from Bugle Cliff.
The trail is a steady incline to the summit of Mt. Jackson.

You will find many of these Gray Jays at the northern end of the presidentials. They are really friendly. Bring come granola with you, they'll eat right off your hand.

We took Webster Cliff trail (1.3 mi) to Mt. Webster.
